It grows on the western Himalayas in eastern Afghanistan, northern Pakistan(Kashmir), north-central India (Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakh and), southwestern most Tibet and western Nepal. It is a large evergreen tree reaching 40–50 m tall. Encourages strength, concentration and fortitude. Aroma is slightly camphoraceous smoky, sweet resinous, and woody.
